In this lesson, we will explore a range of mechanisms and how they are made to move. We will think about materials we have at home and how they could be recycled or reused to make mechanisms. We will also introduce you to a design brief, considering how mechanisms could be used to meet the brief. This lesson includes some physical activity and equipment beyond pen, paper or pencil. To design a product criteria, meeting the needs of the user

In this lesson, we will design our own ideas using mechanisms, describing ideas using the correct vocabulary and making sure that it is suitable for our target market. We will present our ideas to other people, gathering their opinions to help us to improve our ideas. This lesson includes some physical activity and equipment beyond pen, paper or pencil. Using a range of techniques to begin to make our final idea

In this lesson, we will be using a range of techniques to begin to draw and make our final idea, trying to join and combine materials with some accuracy. Please note this lesson will require some additional equipment, beyond a pen, pencil or paper, to fully participate.
