Today we're going to learn all about our world through drama. For this lesson, you will need templates of three different flags, England, France, and Australia. You will also need some mark making materials. That could be felt tips, pencils, crayons, or paints. Whatever you have at home. Press pause while you get things ready. Let's get ready. Find a quiet and clear space to work, away from distractions. Check you are comfortable and ready to begin learning. Make sure your resources are nearby. Press pause while you get things ready. World has finished. During the next activity we're going to be working on different ways we can communicate, hello. Your young person may use their voice and words to say hello. They may use their gestures, actions and facial expressions. All of those things are perfectly valid and okay. Encourage your young person to say hello in whichever way they choose to. Now it's time to say... Hello. Next it's time... To make a flag. But now it's time to say hello. We say hello around our world in lots of different ways. I've got some flags here. People that live in these places may say hello in different ways. I'll choose this one. The Union Flag. If you live in Great Britain, you might say hello like this. Hello. Could you try? Ready? Steady. Go. Hello. Very nice. Hello. Big voice, big smile and a wave. Hello. Very good. The Australian flag. If you live in Australia, you might say hello like this. Ready? Steady. Go. G'day. G'day. Can you try? We're going to say hello like they might say it in Australia. Ready? Steady. Go. G'day. Can I hear? Good work G'day. Last flag. The French flag. Now if you live in France, you might say hello like this. Ready? Steady. Go. Bonjour. Could you try? Bonjour. Ready? Steady. Go. Bonjour. Let me listen. Very good. We've said hello in different ways. Can you remember? That's right. Hello. Can you remember this one in Australia? Yes. G'day. And finally, can you remember what you might say if you lived in France? That's right. Bonjour. Saying hello has finished. Let's tidy up. Saying hello has finished. Now it's time to make our flag. Now I've chosen to use the Union Flag, and I've drawn a template, but maybe the person helping you could either draw you a template or find one using the internet. I've also got the colours that I'll need, blue and red. And to help me remember where things go, I've got a model to copy. Maybe your adult that is helping you could find you one, or perhaps you could look at one on a screen. It's time to colour in my flag. So I'll start with the red. I must try really carefully to keep my colouring in the lines. There's my start. Following my model. Red in the red. Shall do some blue. Blue, here. Blue. The same. Really carefully to stay in the lines of the template. You might want to pause the video now so you've plenty of time to colour in your flag. Remember, can you think about how you'd say hello in the country of the flag that you've chosen? Hmm. This one, it's hello. Press pause now so you can complete your flag. I've finished my flag. There it is. I'm very proud. I tried really hard not to go outside of the lines, and I've remembered that people that live in the countries of Great Britain might say hello.
