﻿Hi, everybody, Miss hill here. We've got a really fun lesson today, so let's get started. Put on your hat, tighten those ties, and tell the computer, "Now I'm a mathematician." Great job. I think you're going to love this lesson. So today's lesson is run by you. Your task is to collect data from around the house and present it as a bar chart. Here are some of the ideas that you could collect. Asking people in your household what food is their favourite, their favourite colour, their favourite animals, maybe even what football team they support. You need to make sure that you collect your data as a tally chart. So you have your question the options and how many people. For example, I decided that I was going to find out the most popular chocolate bar on my road. So I wrote down my own options which were Mars Bar, Twix, Bountys and Double Deckers and then I started counting and asking people. so as you can see, four people liked Mars Bars. But then we need to make sure we turn this data into a frequency table. Just like I have here. I started turning it into frequency table, which means I need to cut my tallies and put in a number. With this data, you're then going to create your own bar chart with a title, a labelled vertical and horizontal axis, and carefully drawn out scale as well. I can't wait to see what you produce.
