﻿Hi friends. It's miss Molnar here and it's Harold, the hedgehog. And today we are going to consolidate our learning on time. So you actually don't need to bring anything to this lesson except your thinking brain, because we are going to do quite a lot of thinking today. Alright. If you're ready, we thought we would start by getting a little bit active to kick off our consolidation on time. So what we're going to do is, I'm going to do a countdown from 10. So I'm going to give you 10 seconds and I'm going to give you a few challenges to see what you can complete in those 10 seconds. All right. Are you ready? So I'm going to count down from 10 and I want you to see how many times you can clap your hands. Okay? So you're going to keep track how many times you clap your hands, and by the time I get to zero, I want to know how many times you've clapped your hands. Are we ready everyone? Okay, here we go. 10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero. All right. How many times did you clap your hands? Were you really speedy? All right. Now I've got another challenge for you. You ready? Alright. This time, I want to know how many star jumps you can do in 10 seconds. So stand up and get yourself ready. And when I start counting back from 10, then you need to keep track of how many star jumps you do. Are you ready? Okay, here we go. 10, nine, eight, seven, six five, four, three two, one, zero. So how many did you get to? Were you able to do a lot of star jumps? Was it easier to do claps, more claps, than it was star jumps? I'm wondering why that was. Well, it's much quicker to do a clap. We don't have to use much of our body to do a clap. So I bet it was much easier to get more claps than star jumps. All right. Let's get into our learning for today. Okay. So we're going to have a little bit of a recap about what each of the seasons are. So I've got a picture displayed up here and we want to look for some clues. So we hope that you're good time detectives. We're going to look for clues to see if we can guess which season is being represented in the picture. So, let's have a look let's spot for some clues. Shall we get our detective glasses on? All right. Everyone gets you to detective goggles on. Are they on ready? All right. Let's have a little bit of a look. Hmm. Okay. In the window looks like it's very windy outside. Looks like there's some orange and yellow leaves all blustering around. It looks like a lot of the leaves aren't on the trees. I wonder if that's a clue. Where else can we look for clues? I'm going to look at that calendar up at the wall. That calendar says October. Hmm. I wonder what season it might be outside. Hmm. Do you know what season is being shown? If you said autumn, you are so right. Well done. This season is autumn because we can see that there's leaves falling off the trees, they've turned orange and yellow and brown. And on the calendar, it says October. And we know that autumn falls, one of the months that autumn falls in is in October. Great job, everyone. All right. Are we ready to see the next one? All right. Are your detective goggles on? Are you spotting to look for some clues this time? What does the weather look like outside? Hmm. What month is it on the calendar? That should be some good clues for you. Now, one of my favourite holidays or one of my favourite things to do in this season is to go ice skating. Hmm? I wonder which season you go ice skating in. I also love to build snowman and I can see a snowman in the background. Have you made a guess to what season it is? Well, if you said winter, well done. Yeah. We can see that there's snow on the ground. It looks like it's cold outside. They're bundled up in a hat and scarf and mittens, and the calendar says December. And we know that in December it is winter time. Well done, everyone. So we know that it's winter. All right, we've got another season here. I wonder which one it might be. This one might be a little bit tricky compared to another season. They're quite similar, but there's a few clues that we can spot to prove that it's one over the other. So have a look outside. What do we see? I see lots of animals. It looks like baby little lambs. I see some daffodils. Oh, this time of year, lots of flowers and daffodils come out. My favourite. The sun is shining. That's look at what month it says on the calendar. It says April. Hmm. Have you been able to guess which season it is? Well, if said spring, way to go everyone. That's right. It's spring time and all the baby little animals are born, the flowers come out, and April is definitely a clue that it's a month of spring. All right. Last one, everyone. You should be able to spot which one this is. Pretty quick off the bat now. So the sun is big in the sky. There's lots of people wearing some clothes that you'd might wear in this season. Some shorts and t-shirts, lots of playing outside. The calendar says, July. What season is it everyone? That's right. It's summer. I almost gave it away there, didn't I? It is summer. Fantastic effort, everyone. Okay, everyone. So for your top task, we are going to test your skills. Miss. Molnar and Harold, they're going to dress up or go grab some items that represent a certain season. We want you to then pause the video and say, Miss. Molnar is dressed for, because. So maybe you'll say Miss Molnar is dressed for spring because she's got lots of flowers around her. Okay. Are we ready everyone? All right. Get ready for the first season. Here we go. Harold and I are so cold. Oh, it's just freezing outside. Alright. Did you guess which season we were showing first? That's right. It was winter because we were wearing winter clothes, winter jacket, and a scarf because it was cold. All right. Are you ready for the next one? Here we go. Oh, you know, it's much sunnier outside. It's much warmer now but I think... A little bit of rain. Oh, let me just get my umbrella sorted here. Oh, that's much better. Oh, it is quite rainy at this time of the year, but at least the sunshine is out. Now that one was a bit of a tricky one. Were you able to guess which one it was? If you said spring, well done, because the weather does get much nicer, but it does rain quite a bit during the spring time. Fantastic. Alright. Let's have another go at the next season. All right. Harold and I are ready to go to the sunny seaside. We've got our sun cream. We've got our shades. Oh, it's just so hot outside. I wonder what season it is. Great job everyone. If you said it was summertime, way to go. You are so right. Well done. All right. Now for the last one, you should be able to guess it by it's the last season left. Okay. Are we ready? Oh, I might put on my scarf today because a little bit cool outside. Just a little bit cooler outside. And we're going to go for a walk because we really want to see the nice brown and yellow and orange leaves and all the trees on our walk. Hmm I wonder what season it might be. Well done everyone. If you said autumn, you were so right. Way to go at guessing all of the seasons. Okay. Are you up for another challenge? We thought you would be. So, Harold has jumbled up all of the days of the week. Oh no! Can you help him put them back in order? Which day of the week should come first? If you said Sunday, way to go. That's right. It's Sunday. So we've got Sunday and then what comes after Sunday? If you said Monday, well done. Monday's the next day of the week. So if I forget what comes next, I can always just try and go back in my head and say them in order. So I could go Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. What comes after Tuesday? Some people like to call this day hump day. That's right. It's Wednesday. Well done everyone. And then after Wednesday comes Thursday. And then one of my favourite days of the week, I like to call it Fri Yay even though it's Friday. And then finally at the weekend, we've got which day? That's right. Saturday. Well done everyone. All right. So we're going to get right into our main task. And like we said, remember we going to be doing some thinking today. So you're going to have to do some explaining to prove which picture is the odd one out. So that means which picture doesn't match the rest of them. So if we're thinking about the seasons, take a close look at the pictures below. Which one do you think doesn't belong with most of the pictures for the season that it's showing? So you're going to pause the video. You're going to have a little bit of a think and you're going to use the sentence stem, this is the odd one out because... You can just point to the picture and say, this is the odd one out because. All right, pause the video if you need an extra think and then we'll come back and we'll hear your answers. All right. Which one did you say was the odd one out? Well, if you said, well done, if you said the picture at the bottom, in the green box, that picture is showing winter time, isn't it? So we know that that's the odd out cause the rest of them are showing flowers and a new animal life and sunshine. So we know that the winter picture doesn't match the rest of the spring pictures. Well done. Alright. Are we ready to have another go? So let's look for the odd one out again for this season. Take a close look at all the pictures. Which one doesn't match? Pause the video if you need to have an extra think. Alright. Which one did you think was the odd one out? Well done. If you said the seaside picture was the odd one out, you're right, because that one is showing summertime and the other pictures are showing autumn because we've got orange leaves, we've got harvesting of the fields, so we know that that one doesn't match. Way to go, everyone. All right. For one of our final questions for our main task, we've got some pictures of some daily events. So Harold has put them in the order that he thinks the picture should go in. Okay. We want you to think about, is this the right order that these events would happen in a day? So you're going to have a pause of the video. You're going to have a close look and just think, Hmm this picture is in the wrong order because... Can you spot where Harold's mistake is? Pause the video, have a close look and see if you can find where he went wrong. All right, everyone. Which one did you think was in the wrong order? We've got having breakfast then waking up and then waving goodbye to our family. Which one was in the wrong order? That's right. We can't have breakfast before we wake up. We know that we would wake up first and then we'd have breakfast. So the one in the middle and the first one are in the wrong order. Way to go everyone. You were such good detectives at spotting errors and finding the odd one out. Well, we hope you enjoyed this lesson today everyone. You were super fantastic at figuring out what season it was or what time of day it was, remembering those days of the week. You are superstars at time.
